2. ROCKS.
A rock is a mass of hard consolidated mineral matter.
The structure of our planet:
The outer layer (brown) is called
crust
. It's solid and made up of rocks similar to those we see on the Earth surface.
The orange layer is called
mantle
. It's solid and made up of dense rocks.
The red layer is the
external core
. It's liquid.
The grey one is the
internal core
. It's solid again and very rich in iron.
